The year 2026 started with a quite pleasant surprise for Minecraft enthusiasts. Mojang shared the Minecraft 26.1 Snapshot 2 version, focused on "quality of life" improvements to the in-game experience. The star of this update is the baby animals, whose visual designs have been completely recreated.
Baby Mobs Are Now More Realistic and Cute
The most notable change arriving with the new Snapshot is the major revision to the textures and models of baby animals. Developers have moved beyond making baby mobs just small copies, giving them fluffier looks and characteristic features specific to their species.
List of Visually Revamped Animals
With the Minecraft 26.1 update, the following mobs will have a much more aesthetic appearance:
- Cow and Mooshroom: More natural calf forms.
- Wolf and Cat: Much fluffier and soft texture details.
- Sheep, Pig, and Rabbit: Revamped body structures.
